It was a cool spring morning and fog hovered over Lake Norman. There wasn't much too be seen but this island was visible from our spot in Jetton Park. The colors were muted and I attempted to capture n0t only how the island looked, but also the coolness of the air and the moisture of the fog. Plein air painting is more than visual - it encompasses the tactile as well as the sounds and smells that surround the artist.
